This was a stupid show. The students were all so obviously much older than high school students. None of it was believable. Even as a young kid watching it. Stupid show.

Omg, back in the day!!!!! I retired from education 21 years ago and what i remember is girls trying to see how little clothing they can wear and get away with . Seeing the opening and the girls wearing dresses and being dressed correctly. It was a simpler time and a better time. Vack then after homework and dinner all you hoped for was a phone call. Now everyone is in a phone, don't get me started. Thank you for showing this, please show others. Keep 'em coming!😊

I remember when me and my grandparents got Room 222 at the Dream Inn in Santa Cruz, I immediately thought of this show.

I just started 4th grade when this show started. I enjoyed watching what the future held for me. Excellent, actually 🙌🏻❤️💐

One of those shows groundbreaking made the wave or shows like saved by the bell and utters that were filmed in school. This one was the first one ever to be filmed inside of the high school truly groundbreaking.

I watched this when I was like 11/12

I was too young to appreciate its significance as a child. I plan to watch it now, if I can find it on RUclips or some other free channel.

Always watched this show as a young man.

I entered middle school in '71, and as opposed to my single story elementary school, our middle school was a large three story traditional brick building of a similar style and vintage to the school in this series. Like the kids in this opening montage, we did a lot of stair climbing and descending during the school day, and this theme song sometimes popped into my head during class changes. It seemed to go well with stair climbing. This montage also reminds me of my school boy crush on Karen Valentine.

if you were a male between 5 and 50 in 1970, you fell in love with Karen Valentine. It was not optional.

Contrast how education was viewed in the 60's to what groups like the rightwing fanatics "Mom's for liberty" and the MAGA radicals are trying to do to our schools today.

I loved this show! I was in third grade and going to parochial school. We had to wear ugly plaid uniforms and I could not wait to be in high school and dress like the teenagers in this show!

as a very young kid back then with a dad who unfortunately had a back ruined at work & hated doctors (and cops & black people - he was from the south if that explains anything (i was born & grew up in Massachusetts) & eventually drank & smoked himself to death many years later (he only used beer as a pain killer), i absolutely loved Lloyd Haynes, John Amos & Ed Bishop (among a few other male role models of the time) & realized years later (i'm 62 now) that in a way, they acted as substitute father figures for me. and THIS show needs to be re-aired 24\7 to show todays kids how totally f'd up they are....
